AURORA ENERGY UPDATE: Completion of two-year work programme in Glenorchy

As you will be aware, Aurora Energy (your local electricity distribution company) announced a large work programme at the end of 2021 in the Glenorchy area, as part of our $500 million investment plan to upgrade the electricity network in Otago. We’re pleased to let you know that we have now completed all of the work outlined in the two-year programme.

Please find attached to this email a letter from Chris Sharman, Aurora Energy Project Manager, outlining the work completed (including some great photos taken by our contractors), and an update on our donation to the Glenorchy Museum. This letter will be sent this afternoon to all customers in the Glenorchy area, and we would be happy for you to also share this amongst your networks, to reach as many members of the community as possible.

We are making good progress with our five-year investment programme and as part of our maintenance and management of the electricity network there will be ongoing work in order to improve the safety and reliability of your power supply. We are increasing our use of bundled work so that multiple jobs are packaged together, which reduces the overall number of planned outages.
