CRESTED GREBE STATUS UPDATE
Dec 30, 2017
As you may already know the grebes have successfully hatched two eggs, with the third one due any minute! The first one was hatched on Wednesday, the second on Thursday and last one hatching as we post. Amazing that they have managed this considering they are in such a busy area. Thank you everyone for leaving them alone. They don't mind you looking at them but please don't go any closer than the fence. I suspect they may be off elsewhere pretty quickly after the last one hatches but who knows!
The parents are already carrying the chicks on their backs and I have seen the oldest chick swimming in the water. There will be a lot better photos out there but here are some of mine anyway!
