ROADSIDE & LAKESIDE CLEANUP

Sustainable Glenorchy invites you to help clean up our local environment for about two hours on Saturday 9 November.
We will be working with the school the previous day, and will carry on from where we left off. With your help, we should be able to finish by midday.
Please save the date as we would love for as many volunteers as possible to come and help us beautify our community. We hope to use the QLDC inorganic litter collection service on the same day to dispose of larger items.
We will start at the Hall with morning tea at 9:30am, and from there will form groups to go to designated areas. While we have access to a few litter kits, in case more people turn up than we can provide materials for, we encourage you to bring your own gloves and two bags or buckets, one for recyclable litter and one for other waste. Please also wear hi-vis or brightly-coloured clothing, if you have these, to be safer along the roadsides.
And bring your kids!
Come along, rain or shine. It'll be fun!
