Looking for a cook, to feed 18 hungry mouths for a trail running retreat. Cooking out of the communal kitchen, plus some picnic lunches at trailheads etc. 

Ideally, would be incorporating regional dishes or produce as learning from traditional and local ways of life is important to the retreat. 

Pay will be discussed together to work out the best method. Potential for accommodation if not local/without transport as well.

Call for stallholders

Sustainable Glenorchy would like to host a market day in the Hall or on the Village Green (weather depending) on Sunday 18 August from 11am to 3pm. With the recent closing of the Glenorchy Arts Co-op shop, we would like to provide a local venue for local artists, craftspeople, potters, bakers, gardeners, and others who have good, new, or used items to sell to the community and visiting tourists.

We'd love to hear from you to see if this project can take wings. We anticipate a table will cost around $10 per stallholder, enough to cover the cost of the use of the Hall, but this may be less if there are many of you.

Nursery Volunteer Session.

Sunday, June 16 from 10am (Weather permitting)

We will be potting up some seedlings ready for next season’s planting. Come along, it’s a great way to spend Sunday morning and connect with community. Bring gloves, water, and maybe allow a few hours in the afternoon for the local volunteers bbq. See you there!
