GREENS SUMMER GATHERING

 “It’s not easy being Green “said Kermit, so we are going to start the year with a social gathering where we can recognise He waka eke noa/ We’re all in the same canoe, enjoy each other’s company, share mutual support, make plans, vent frustrations, have a laugh (or a cry)- a mental health day to set us up for the challenges ahead.

WHAT             BBQ Bring a plate and something to drink and the BBQ will be hot.

WHERE         Frankton  @ Buzzstop Bee & Honey Centre, Hansen Road

PLUS:  He tangata / The people tour

Deep South Exec members on a road train to connect with actual and possible members and families, supporters and friends.

This train is stopping in Roxburgh, Clyde, Arrowtown and Frankton.

WHY

Do we still have hope that 2022 will bring the necessary sea-change in our countries climate action, will restore te Mana o te Wai to our rivers and lakes, and bring truly affordable and healthy houses to Aotearoa, - amongst other ambitions?

What else is happening in 2022?

It is the year of Local Body elections and we need good representation and some focused questions of those candidates.

There are some reviews of the Green Party constitution that will need delegates and discussion.

And not forgetting the impact of the pandemic on our communities which we will still have to negotiate.

No doubt you will have your own list too.

Bring it along and share with other like-minded friends.
